New Chief Executive – Trafford Council21 November 2018
Trafford Council’s new Chief Executive is to be Sara Todd who is currently Deputy Chief Executive at Manchester City Council.
Her appointment is subject to final approval at a full Council meeting which will take place on Wednesday 28 November.
Sara is due to take up her role at the end of February and in the meantime Jim Taylor will continue to act as interim Chief Executive.
Sara was the unanimous choice following a rigorous recruitment process. She has a wealth of experience in local government having worked in three other Greater Manchester councils during her career in a variety of planning, economic development and regeneration roles over the last 20 years.
Her current position at Manchester sees her responsible for a wide ranging portfolio including highways, waste and street cleaning, libraries, community safety, leisure, events together with HR, communications, policy, performance and research functions.
