Lay members sought for committee developing mental health guidelines

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is currently looking for people who use services, and their carers and advocates (usually referred to as ‘lay members’ at NICE), to join a committee developing a guideline on rehabilitation in people with severe and enduring mental illness.

NICE is seeking applications from those who have recent experience or knowledge of this rehabilitation and are able to reflect the views, experiences and needs of the people who use services to ensure they are included in the development of this guideline. They would need to be able to contribute effectively in a formal committee setting. Its lay members are paid a fee to attend meetings and we cover travel and other expenses.
